Before and After School Care

Ally’s Kindy in West Ipswich offers care for children up to 10 yrs, therefore we do offer Before & After School Care between 6.30 – 8.30am & 2.45 – 6.30pm.

Children feel better & behave well when they are given a snack mid- afternoon so our after school care program includes freshly prepared afternoon tea each day.

The children enrolled in BSC & ASC will have time allocated for them to complete homework if required by parents as well as having activities prepared for them to participate in.

Framework for School Age Children

Our before and after school program is based on a framework for school age children. The framework conveys the highest expectations for all children’s play and leisure activities in school age care settings. It communicates these expectations through the following five outcomes:

children have a strong sense of identity
children are connected with and contribute to their world
children have a strong sense of well being
children are confident and involved learners
children are effective communicators

The framework is designed to inspire conversations, improve communication and provide a common language about children’s play, leisure and learning among children themselves, their families, the broader community and school age care educators.
